Third Sector projects of national relevance in October

As anticipated in August with the publication of the guidelines , the Ministry of Social Policies has published Notice 2/2024 , adopted with the directorial decree n. 189 of 4 September , which establishes the methods of access to the funds intended for Third Sector entities for activities of general interest that can be financed with the resources provided for by the Third Sector Code (art. 72 of Legislative Decree n. 117 of 2017). Specifically, the call refers to initiatives and projects of national importance, for support of 22,770,000 euros of which 19,950,000 euros allocated thanks to article 72 of the Third Sector Code and 2,820,000 euros relating to article 73, to be allocated to voluntary organizations, social promotion associations and Third Sector foundations.

Proposals can be submitted by volunteer organizations, social promotion associations and third sector foundations, registered in the single third sector register , individually or in partnership with each other, including through association networks. Foundations registered in the Onlus register can also participate in this phase. Activities must take place in at least 10 Regions (in this case, the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano are considered Regions). The minimum duration of project proposals must not be less than 12 months, while the maximum duration cannot exceed 18 months. Each initiative or project cannot be less than 250,000 euros, nor exceed 600,000 euros .

Applications must be submitted on the online platform by 22 October 2024 .
