Notification of Intent: Transdisciplinary Research to Tackle Antimicrobial Resistance

Objectives: This funding opportunity, part of the UKRI Tackling Infections strategic theme, aims to support transdisciplinary research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) using One Health and Planetary Health approaches. With a fund of £15 million and grants ranging between £1.5 million and £3 million, the initiative seeks to understand, detect, and disrupt AMR emergence across various environments and species, including humans, animals, and plants. Projects should transcend traditional disciplinary boundaries, co-create knowledge with societal stakeholders, and produce outputs contributing to AMR mitigation. The funded projects are expected to act as national or international research focal points and will collectively share learnings and foster innovation across the AMR field.
