Electricity, Gas, Smart Grids, Hydrogen and CO₂ networks - Works

Objectives: The grant aims to support the implementation of Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs) in the energy sector under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). It focuses on financing projects that further the integration of the EU's internal energy market, enhance network interoperability across borders and sectors, facilitate the economy's decarbonisation, promote energy efficiency, and ensure secure energy supplies. The grant aligns with the European Green Deal's objectives, the Paris Agreement, the 2030 climate and energy targets, and the EU's broader decarbonisation goals. It seeks to provide financial assistance for crucial energy infrastructure projects that offer significant socio-economic benefits and enhance solidarity among Member States but lack sufficient market financing.
