Open topic on testing / validating tools, technologies and data used in cross-border prevention, preparedness and responses to climate extreme and geological events and chemical, biological or radiological emergency threats

Objectives: The grant aims to enhance European and global interoperability of existing tools and technologies and improve different practitioners’ capacities to prevent, prepare, and respond to diverse disasters, such as natural and man-made events. The use of AI and ML tools, along with autonomous miniaturized sensors, is essential for decision-making, situational awareness, threat detection, and victim identification. The grant encourages proposals that can demonstrate interoperability and involve cross-border communication improvements, ensuring information exchange in reliable, secure, and universal ways. Outcomes should align with the EU Preparedness Union Strategy and are expected to engage practitioners to develop solutions applicable in real-case scenarios.
