Legal Assistance and Advocacy in Asylum Procedures and Statelessness Prevention

Objectives: The grant aims to bolster legal assistance and advocacy efforts in Serbia for asylum seekers and stateless individuals, reinforcing existing systems to ensure compliance with international standards. Key objectives include providing legal representation, counsel in asylum and alternative status procedures, and strategic litigation to improve access to justice. UNHCR also seeks to enhance national capacities by monitoring, reporting, and advocating for systemic changes, improving refugee and asylum-seeker integration, and bolstering capacities to prevent statelessness, particularly among children and the Roma community.
