UNICEF Indonesia’s support for Adolescents Education and Empowerment through Skills Development

Objectives: UNICEF Indonesia is launching a program to bolster adolescent education and empowerment through skills development in Central Java, targeting areas like Pekalongan, Rembang, and Klaten. The initiative aims to address educational deficits in 21st-century skills, particularly among out-of-school children (OOSC) aged 13-18. Through non-formal education (NFE) pathways, adolescents will gain critical competencies such as creative thinking, digital literacy, and entrepreneurial skills. This program integrates environmental and climate considerations, enhancing both personal and societal resilience. Expected outcomes include improved educational delivery strategies and increased skills capacity in youth, fostering lifelong learning and employability.
