Horizon 2020
Call name: Clean Sky | Call ID: H2020-CS2-CFP10-2019-01
Specific Challenge:The aim of the Topic is to develop and validate a multifunctional assembly cell, based on neural network software, able to interface mixed/augmented reality devices and co-robot technologies. The Artificial Intelligence system with neural network will integrate different technologies, in order to achieve higher aircraft quality targets and to reduce to zero the risk of failures due to manual activities. The system will dramatically innovate the method to assembly and inspect aerostructures, with significant cost reduction and improved competitiveness. The system will be validated at Topic Manager Plant for REG IADP Fuselage/Cabin full scale demonstrator assembly Please refer to the full topic descriptions document published in this call.

Horizon 2020 - is a Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development, and is created by the European Union in order to support and encourage research in the European Research Area (ERA). This is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). By coupling research and innovation, Horizon 2020 is helping to achieve this with its emphasis on excellent science, industrial leadership and tackling societal challenges. The goal is to ensure Europe produces world-class science, removes barriers to innovation and makes it easier for the public and private sectors to work together in delivering innovation. The Horizon 2020 programme running from 2014 to 2020 has a €79 billion budget (a 46% increase over FP7).
It is structured around three core pillars:
Type of projects: mostly grants, no supplies, no works.
