Land Use Planning and GIS Specialist for Cambodia

e.Gen is looking for consultants for the project titled "Formulation of Commune Land Use Plan" in Cambodia.

The Land Use Planning and GIS Specialists will have a Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning and GIS or a related discipline and must be proficient in the use of ArcGIS, or other GIS software that can export data files to ARCGIS. S/he must have at least 2 year working experience in the CLUP process, GIS database management, remote sensing using aerial and satellite imagery and the mapping and regulatory framework relating to the CLUP. They will facilitate the consultative and participatory CLUP processes with the local communities to enable them to conduct their own land use planning and mapping work within the framework of LASED III Project.

Specific tasks will include:

• Cooperate with all local sub-national authority stakeholders for the effective and efficient implementation of the CLUPs in the target province including the provincial Project Office and the PLMUPCC;
• Facilitate with local authority and undertake field work for data collection related to commune land use mapping according to CLUP implementation manual;
• Undertake data entry and GIS data geo-reference to produce hotspot maps, commune land use maps and other maps required for CLUP formulation and by MLMUPC/PCO;
• Undertake mapping work for CLUP based on land use planning analysis and GIS tools, and ensure that mapping of CLUP is well done with high quality finishes;
• Manage the GIS data entry into the GIS database, and create and maintain a logical filling system for the stored data;
• Ensure that there is effective sharing of the GIS data at both national and sub-national level in cooperation with the MLMUPC/PCO; and
• Undertake other duties identified by the Provincial/Regional Coordinator and the Team Leader.
