Social Impact (SI) is a Washington, DC-area international development management consulting firm. We provide monitoring, evaluation, strategic planning, and capacity building services to advance development effectiveness. Position Summary:

SI is seeking a Program Assistant to support projects in the Strategy, Performance, & Learning (SPL) practice area. This position will support the SPL team’s performance evaluation, performance monitoring, organizational development, and other M&E-related projects. The Program Assistant will report to a Senior Program Manager, while working closely with Program Managers on assigned tasks. This is a full-time position authorized to be fully remote or to be based in the Arlington, VA area on a hybrid remote/in-person model.

Responsibilities:

The Program Assistant supports a variety of SI’s programs with clients, such as USAID, the US Department of State, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support to project teams, including consulting agreements, invoice processing, arranging travel, hotels, visas, and insurances.
  • Orient consultant team members to procedures for working with SI.
  • Facilitate communication between SI project managers and consultants.
  • Organize and schedule training events associated with various SI contracts.
  • Working closely with team members, draft and edit documents and reports.
  • Working closely with team members, monitor program budgets and reconcile expenditures.
  • Working closely with team members, provide technical support such as coding qualitative data and conducting desk research.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, or related subject.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow through on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
