General description of the position: Qualifications and skills required for the team: experience in policy dialogue interventions and sector policy dialogue, sector expertise fitting the most important sectors of EU-SA cooperation, experience with civil society and government-civil society dialogue, experience in capacity building programmes The European Union pursues an equal opportunities policy. Qualifications and skills required: At least a Master's Degree and in its absence, equivalent professional experience of at least 7 years in the areas of Social Science, Public Science, Political Science or other relevant qualification. In the absence of a Master’s degree academic level, a Bachelor's Degree academic level plus three years direct working experience in the above outlined professional areas is acceptable. Experience in policy dialogue interventions and sector policy dialogue, expertise fitting sectors of EU-SA cooperation, experience with civil society and government-civil society dialogue, experience in capacity building programmes.

Specific professional experience: (inclusive of the general professional experience): At least 3 years’ experience in programme monitoring and evaluation; At least 3 years’ experience policy creation and implementation, out of which 3 years are in the Southern and South African development context At least 3 years’ experience and proficiency with EU/OECD-DAC Evaluation Methodology
