General Description:

Full time Project Director will be hired to work with our Project Execution Unit. We are looking for the candidates who will work in Azerbaijan to ensure that the awarded projects are completed within the targeted budget, time, and scope as well as providing customer satisfaction, and thus to support the targeted position of WEglobal at national and international level.

Azerbaijan

Expectation:

  • University degree from preferably administrative and social sciences departments
  • Candidates who are resident or prefer to live in Azerbaijan
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (2+ years of managerial experience)
  • Prior experience in EU projects
  • Language knowledge of resident country (mother tongue or native level) and perfect written and oral skills in English
  • Experience with reporting on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities
  • Experience in basic financial management
  • Knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects with practical experience of rolling these out within a project environment
  • Good command of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, CRM systems, MIS
  • Confidence and ability to manage and deliver outcomes
  • Outstanding good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong, influential leader and team player with great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent facilitation skills, creating and sustaining a participatory environment, both in meetings and in everyday project work, encouraging others to contribute
  • Flexible in taking responsibilities outside of position, eager to support other units in need
  • Working in collaboration and cooperation with WEglobal’s other units/teams
  • Eager to work in project management environment
  • Experience in communication and cooperation with public bodies and their staff

Key Job Duties:

Project Management & Communications

  • To carry out contact with Beneficiary and Contracting Authority in cooperation with Team Leader
  • To represent WEglobal/ the consortium in Steering Committee Meetings
  • To ensure VAT exemption process is structured
  • To ensure that project reports are prepared and approved in a timely and quality manner
  • To review project plan together with the team leader and in communication with the client, to identify revision needs
  • To coordinate timely submission of technical outputs – reports, training, workshops, meetings
  • To coordinate flow of information between WEglobal, the clients and project team
  • To liaise with the Beneficiary, Contracting Authority, and EUD, when needed
  • To manage and steer project related events’ organizations
  • To support the realization of project time schedule
  • To conduct analysis on working-days and budget, to check financial reports
  • To ensure documentation of lessons learnt from the project
  • To ensure that the administrative support team is working in line with project requirements and WEglobal principles
  • To review project outputs and compare based on the ToR & TP requirements
  • To ensure that monthly timesheets are filled accurately on time and approved
  • To have weekly/monthly meetings with the Team Leader regarding the progress in the project and other technical/administrative issues
  • Ensure that project reports are prepared and approved in a timely and quality manner
  • To prepare and submission of the project financial reports timely and accurately
  • Track expert mobilisation
  • Manage expert contracting and follow-up of the expert working-days
  • To enter data and update regularly WEglobal information systems
  • To prepare and provide regular project implementation data on financial tables, working days, cost lists and financial budget
  • To attend to regular WEglobal project management meetings
  • To coordinate/supervise the development and implementation of project archiving systems
  • To coordinate archiving activities during and at the end of project
