Location – Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

The objectives of the consulting services are:

• Contribution to the establishment of best agricultural practices (including increased resource efficiency and environmental issues) in primary production.
• Support for the introduction of the best available technologies for processing and distribution in the agri-food sector.
• Supporting the introduction of international certification systems leading to improvement of environmental and sanitary standards and practices in the Kyrgyz Republic.
• Supporting the strengthening of successful value chains and the integration of farmers into these value chains.

We are looking for an open-minded and motivated expert (m/f/d) with a proven track record of capacity building for MSMEs.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic, communicative, experienced colleague who is willing and able to integrate his/her abilities, networks and dedication to the project. The expert will be responsible for tasks involving capacity building for agribusiness MSMEs.

The tasks include:

• Development and implementation of training curriculum
• Conducting training for agribusiness MSMEs
• Coordination of short-term experts
• Carrying out needs analyses in the area of business development
• Carrying out needs analyses of Kyrgyz MSMEs
• Monitoring and evaluation of the implementation process of planned activities
• Regular exchange with project staff

Qualifications:

• University degree (diploma/master's degree) in agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or sector-relevant course of study;
• Language proficiency in English and Russian B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages
• Five years of experience in assessment of training/capacity building needs of MSMEs in agro business planning/management and credit applications
• Five years of experience in design of training/capacity building measures in agro business planning/management and credit applications
• Five years of experience in implementation of training/capacity building measures in agro business planning/management and credit applications
• Experience in Central Asia,g. Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan etc.
• Experience in Development Cooperation projects
