Irrigation specialist

6 months of input within Bhutan Water Program

Objective:

• prepare detailed engineering designs, training on the design of irrigation systems including hydraulic modeling relevant design software

Qualifications:

• post graduate qualification in Irrigation
• tion Engineering and/ or Agricultural Water management
• minimum 10 years of experience in hill irrigation systems design, operation and maintenance
• You have experience with projects funded by international donors such as the World Bank or Asian Development Bank
• familiar with WaterGEMS/WaterCAD

The Irrigation Specialist shall:
- Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, estimates and specifications for efficiency improvement in Zhemgang and Wangduephodrang (packages CW03& CW05)
- Provide technical support for the survey, design, construction supervision and trail run and commissioning during implementation and operation period of the integrated schemes in Zhemgang and Wangduephodrang
- Develop design standards for integrated drinking water and irrigation schemes
- Provide training on the design of irrigation systems including hydraulic modeling relevant design software
- Provide training on O&M
