About the role

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB

Conceptualise, plan and execute individual communication strategies for designated CA programmes/projects and geographic and thematic pursuits in line with BD requirements.

Provide strategic communications support to the Crown Agents’ fundraising and business development colleagues by engaging with the relevant teams to map out consistent, long-term communication strategies.
Support high-profile Crown Agents’ international development programmes across the world with dedicated comms activities to showcase their impact in line with Crown Agents’ unique capabilities and reach.

Find new and innovative ways to champion the Crown Agents’ brand on social media, increasing audience reach and impact

Update Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter with engaging content daily to share our key successes.
Champion/trial new engagement strategies.
Review social media engagement reports and adjust strategy on a continuous basis to increase following.
Manage the CEO’s social media presence and write content for him.
Provide social media content for the Crown Agents’ Chairperson on a regular basis and upon request.
Liaise across the business to find interesting content for Crown Agents’ platforms.
Create communication media campaigns around key international days, such as International Women’s Day and World Humanitarian Day.

Plan, produce and review digital and printed communication content, with a special emphasis on producing high quality video material.

Produce/edit/guide the creation of a variety of content, such as:

Social media posts
Case studies
Press Releases
Brochures
Blogs
Videos-guide videographers and editors accordingly
Podcasts
Through leadership pieces

Anything else as requested or independently suggested (if approved).

Grow and diversify the Crown Agents’ communications and marketing function, using a variety of channels and content strategies.

Guide the creation and edit Crown Agents’ externally facing marketing materials, including country and project materials and capability statements.
Diversify and amplify communications outreach as much as possible, using multiple avenues and output strategies for content, working with partners and funders such as FCDO, GAVI, USAID and country governments.
Manage design work with external designers and give creative input.
Work with videographers and editors on video production globally.
Ensure the brand remains fresh and engaging.
Lead on event organisation and execution as requested, such as the Crown Agents’ Buckingham Palace event.

Work with external consultants and Crown Agents’ programme teams to represent the Crown Agents’ brand consistently to key stakeholders. Guard processes and standards for the Crown Agents’ visual identity and house style.

Point of contact for colleagues for brand compliance, with a special focus on working with external consultants assigned to individual CA programmes.

General

Be aware of and adhere to company quality standards and procedures in accordance with Crown Agents’ commitment to working to the highest quality standards and striving for continual improvement.

About you

Requirements

An undergraduate degree (in English, journalism, international development, international relations etc) and/or professional qualification in marketing, PR, etc

Essential

Experience in conceptualising, planning and delivering communication campaigns in a competitive environment.
Experience in championing innovation in communications and streamlining internal processes.
Keen interest in learning and growing in a varied role where no day is the same.
Be a creative self-starter who can work independently but be part of a team, bouncing ideas off each other.
Be able to juggle a variety of different priorities in a fast-paced environment whilst still being attentive to detail.
Be willing to wear many different hats and execute a variety of tasks, from working with the Director of Communications on media outreach to posting news announcements on the Crown Agents website.
Knowledge of reputational management.
Experience in collaborating with governments and donors on comms activities.
Desired:
Have interest and/or experience in media outreach.
Experience in/knowledge of the international development sector.
Experience in managing communication strategies in sensitive contexts.
Experience in account-based marketing.

This is a Hybrid role based in London UK, therefore legal right to work in United Kingdom is necessary at the time of application.
