Description

Project title: Studies in preparation of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative

Location: Freetown, Sierra Leone

CSO Expert:

General description of the position: The expert will produce a gap analysis of NGOs providing sex gender based violence (SGBV) survivor services.

Expert category: Cat. II (>6 years of experience)
Qualifications and skills required: University degree in social sciences, economics or equivalent - excellent drafting skills

General professional experience: At least 6 years professional experience in working as business analyst, project manager in process improvement projects or equivalent

Specific professional experience: At lest 3 years professional experience in assignments in a developing country - good knowledge and understanding of NGOs reality - at least 1 previous assignment as expert for a project with an International Organisation (i.e. EU, UN etc.).

Language skills: Excellent English both oral and written Good level of Krio oral will be considered as an asset

Minimum number of working days: 20 days

Additional information: The gap analysis will be based on UNICEF Digital Referral Pathways (eRPW) an online directory of GBV services currently under development by UNICEF that will be available by June 2023, and will include data on SGBV incidences in the country. The approach to organize the collected information may be proposed by the consultant, as well as other suggested information to collect. Research methods are expected to include desk review of relevant documents and interviews with knowledgeable persons (NGO consortiums, development partners, Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, Forum Against Harmful Practices, etc.). The consultant is expected to acquire and consider all existing documents/lists that contain this type of information, including from the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, the Gender Community of Practice Group, the National Committee on GBV, and UN agencies prior to conducting additional research to identify missing entities.
