TVET Advisor

MTC’s International Economic and Social Development (ESD) division is seeking a national TVET Advisor for the GIZ-funded opportunity: Developing and establishing two Centres of Competence (CoCs) in the construction and wood working and furniture sectors in Egypt. We are participating in this opportunity at the tender stage. The National TVET Advisor will support the Team Leader in overall design and management of the four work packages:

·       Work package 1: CoC governance structures are set up and tailored to sectoral needs;

·       Work package 2: TVETA master trainers and CoC teachers are capacitated, including the coordination of short-term experts.

·       Work package 3: CoCs are equipped and prepared for training implementation  

·       Work package 4: The concept for CoC network schools is adapted and implemented

Responsibilities:

·       Coordinate all project activities with relevant TVET actors and ensuring alignment with the Egyptian TVET system.

·       Collaboration with key experts for developing the CoC school network blueprint and (re)-designing dual training programs, as well as managing close coordination with CoCs and network schools in the construction and wood working/furniture sectors.

·       Oversee the establishment of the CoCs, providing technical capacity development support to CoC personnel, managing knowledge management aligned with the project's monitoring and evaluation (M&E) concept, and implementing M&E for standard and project indicators.

·       Collaborate with experts in equipping and upgrading the CoCs is expected.

Qualifications:

·       University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in education, TVET or labour market;

·       Knowledge of written modern standard Arabic, C1, spoken Egyptian Arabic, and English, C1, in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;

·       15 years of professional experience in the TVET sector;

·       10 years of professional experience working at TVET education providers (technical schools, dual system schools, private academies);

·       10 years professional experience in Egypt;

·       2 years of experience working on DC projects;

·       3 years of professional experience in developing competency-based curricula.
