Team Leader - Advisory and Support Services to the TEI Inclusive and Equal Societies

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION : 
Assignment title: Advisory and Support Services to the TEI Inclusive and Equal Societies in Latin America and the Caribbean
The global objective is to provide advice and technical support to the European Commission in the design and implementation of EU external actions in the field of human development so as to fulfil the overall goal of promoting social cohesion and fighting inequalities in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The team leader shall be the main counterpart for the contracting authority and responsible for the deliverables of the contract and their quality. The expert will provide guidance, plan, supervise and coordinate the work and deliverables of the contract, being directly responsible for the coordination and timely delivery. The starting date for the mobilisation of the expert will be determined by the Commission electronically via administrative notice. Overall coordination, management and resource mobilisation, and reporting.

JOB PROFILE:

• University degree (Master level) in social or political sciences, economics, business administration, or a relevant discipline related to the field of human development.

General professional experience:

• At least 6 years of professional experience in external cooperation. Relevant work experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is required.
• Previous experience in developing countries is an asset. General understanding of EU external cooperation is an advantage.

Specific professional experience:

• At least 4 years of professional experience related to human development, social investments, social cohesion, gender equality and/or fight against inequalities.
• Experience managing consultancy work in the sector.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish is a requirement; knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is considered an advantage.
• Number of working days: 300 days
