Technical Assistance for the 11th EDF Intra-ACP Support Programme for ACP Small Island Developing States and Coastal Countries ACP/FED/2018/041-205

Key expert 2: Communication and knowledge management expert (Junior Expert, minimum 500 working days)
Qualifications and skills
• At least a University degree, preferably at Master's level, in communications, journalism, knowledge management, public relations, or a relevant, directly related discipline.
• An excellent verbal and written command of English and French (level C2).
• Good website design skills as well as a sound knowledge and experience of maintaining web content on online platforms.

General professional experience
• Preferably 7 years, but at least 5 years of work experience in field of communications, print, broadcast and/ or news media.
• At least 5 years of work experience designing and implementing Outreach, Communication and Visibility Strategies.
• At least 5 years of work experience designing and implementing Knowledge Management Strategies in the context of development cooperation programmes.
• Excellent knowledge of and experience in using social media and other modern communication tools.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing social media strategies.
Specific professional experience
• Demonstrated experience in developing knowledge products that clearly communicate ideas and experiences for media, web, print, and audio-visual productions.
• Proven writing skills for both online and offline dissemination (i.e., press releases, blogs, brochures, news articles etc).
• Proven acquaintance with environment, climate change or natural resources management issues. 
• Experience in basic graphic design, photography and video editing skills.
• Work experience with Small Island Developing States.
• Experience in organizing events, meetings, and conferences.
• Experience in working with EU-funded development cooperation programmes
