Assistant Team Leader/Evaluation Specialist, Evaluation of Evaluation of the USAID Violence Prevention in Targeted Vulnerable
Communities & Schools in Jamaica Activity, Jamaica

Social Impact is a global development management consulting firm. We provide monitoring, evaluation, strategic planning, and capacity building services to advance development effectiveness. We work across all development sectors including democracy and governance, health and education, the environment, and economic growth. Since 1997 we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.

Proposal Objective:

SI is bidding on a proposal funded through USAID/Jamaica, to conduct a final performance evaluation of the Violence Prevention in Targeted Vulnerable Communities & Schools (VPTVCS) in Jamaica activity. The final performance evaluation will seek to assess the extent to which VPTVCS target beneficiaries accessed support services offered by the activity; to what degree VPTVCS incorporated the use of evidence-based interventions to prevent youth crime and violence; and how the activity can improve access to alternative justice programs for vulnerable youth. Finding and recommendations from the evaluation will be instructive for broader Caribbean Basin
Security Initiative (CBSI) programming considerations.

The estimated period of performance for this evaluation is 4 months.

If awarded to SI, the evaluation is anticipated to begin summer 2024.

Position Description:

SI is seeking an Assistant Team Leader consultant to support the Team Leader in the implementation of the evaluation. The Assistant Team Leader must have co-authored or authored numerous evaluation reports in the international development sector.

Position is contingent upon the award of the contract to Social Impact.
