Tunisia - Volunteer Cooperation Program Coordination Advisor
This is a 12-month assignment in Tunis, Tunisia.
The mandate stems from the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Program (PCV), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period (2020-2028). The PCV aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality. Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights. Oxfam puts the rights of women, girls and vulnerable and marginalized people at the heart of everything we do.
Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country HR Coordinator and the partners, your mandate will be to:

Support the start-up of the program by coordinating planning exercises, such as the development of the annual work plan, with the various country office teams.

Contribute to the identification of new VCP partners and their needs in terms of organizational and technical capacity building.

Support partners' capacity diagnostic exercises and the development of capacity building plans according to partners' priorities.

Support program implementation, including recruitment, quality control, negotiation with local partners, financial management, documentation, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (SEAR), and reporting.

Support volunteer management by ensuring PCV induction of new volunteers joining the country team as required, in line with Oxfam and PCV policies and procedures.
For this mandate you must:

Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;

Have university degree in project/program management or other relevant field;
-
Have 3 years' experience relevant to the mandate, particularly in the international cooperation sector;

Have good knowledge of the management of projects financed by donors including World Affairs Canada;
-
Proficiency in the Office suite.

Have 2 years of experience in human resources preferably with NGOs.

Be fluent in English and French, spoken and written (required).

Master the Office suite.
