The overall objective is to contribute to sound financial management and improved service delivery in North Macedonia by improving fiscal discipline, strategic allocation of resources and public internal financial controls through the provision of policy advice and technical assistance to the Ministry of Finance and related institutions.
Key expert 1 PFM monitoring expert/Team Leader
Qualifications and skills
• University degree in Economics or Law or Public Policy or Public Financial Management or in its absence, four (4) years above the minimum general professional experience. A master’s degree in a relevant field is considered an asset.
General professional experience
• At least 10 but preferably 12 years of professional experience in Public Financial Management and/or budget transparency assessments and/or public sector reforms.
Specific professional experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in formulation and/or monitoring and/or implementation of PFM reform programmes and/or development of action plans.
• Experience in at least 2 projects for monitoring and assessing eligibility criteria in EU funded Budget Support programmes.
• Experience in at least one EU funded project as Team Leader.
