management4health (m4h) is a network of health professionals founded in 2013, meanwhile a rapidly growing consultancy firm in the international health development sector. Our areas of competency include Health Systems Development, Health Services, Health Facilities and Digital Health Information & Research. Our key clients include the German Development Cooperation (KfW and GIZ), the EU, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, national Ministries, foundations as well as private clients. The projects we implement for our clients span across Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
m4h is currently seeking to expand its dynamic team in with a dynamic and experienced business development talent. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and supporting the growth and diversification of our portfolio. This position requires a deep understanding of development cooperation, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development.
Your Responsibilities
- Pipeline Management: Oversee the entire business development process from project forecasting to bid submission, including expressions of interest and tenders.
- Strategic Business Development: Conduct market research, analyse strategy papers, and monitor early project announcements to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the market.
- Business Opportunities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including developing new products and services, entering new markets, and forming strategic partnerships.
- Early Positioning: Ensure early positioning of m4h for strategic opportunities by staying ahead of industry trends and maintaining a proactive approach to business development.
- Network Development: Develop and maintain a robust network of subject matter experts and partners, including universities, NGOs, consulting firms, and engineering firms.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and other relevant organizations, to foster collaboration and business growth.
- Presentations and Showcases: Develop and deliver compelling presentations to clients and partners to showcase m4h’s capabilities and services.
- Acquisition Process Management: Manage the acquisition process and coordinate the bid team, including bid planning, follow-up on deadlines, forming consortia, drafting technical concepts and proposal methodologies, preparing project budgets, identifying suitable experts, and negotiating fees and project shares.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain effective communication with national and international partner companies and experts to ensure smooth collaboration and project execution.
- Proposal Compilation: Compile comprehensive proposals, including technical and financial components, and administrative bidding documents for acquiring new projects.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct layout checks, formatting, and linguistic revisions of bids to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards. Ensure all bidding documents comply with the criteria and submission deadlines set by the financing organization.
- Public Procurement Management: Oversee the management of public procurement procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and successful project acquisition.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in international development, business administration, or a related field
- Preferably 5, but minimum 3 years relevant working experience
- Proven experience in public procurement, development cooperation and Official development assistance (ODA)
- Working experience with international financing organisations and familiarity with their procurement guidelines and requirements
- Experience in management of pipeline of project (forecast, expression of interest, tender)
- Experience in coordinating / supporting / leading technical proposal writing
- Fluent business English is required
- Fluent in French and/or German is an additional asset
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently, well organised, swift, and accurate even when under pressure
- Very committed and motivated team player
