Agricultural Expert with Experience in Agri-Financing (Sierra Leone)
North South Consultants Exchange (NSCE) is seeking an Agricultural Expert who has an in-depth experience in the Banking and Financial sector, to provide technical assistance in designing and pilot-testing agri-finance products for a project in Sierra Leone. This project aims to enhance the capacity of financial institutions to better serve agricultural MSMEs by developing innovative financial products and delivering training programs. The role includes developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), leading capacity-building workshops, and supporting the creation of new agricultural loan products.
Requirements:
1. Minimum of 7 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in agri-financing, product development, credit scoring, and management.
2. Proven experience in developing agri-finance products, SOPs, and training manuals.
3. Strong background in leading training workshops focused on agri-financing best practices.
4. In-depth knowledge of agri-finance in rural Africa and least-developed countries.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse set of public and private sector stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
Project Objective:
The project aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of banks and MFIs in Sierra Leone to support agricultural MSMEs by developing tailored financial products and delivering hands-on training.
Major Tasks:
The expert will conduct a market analysis, assist in the design and testing of agricultural finance products, and lead training sessions to build the capacity of financial institutions.
