To lead the Operations Team in Myanmar and provide guidance to Country Office and Program Locations in Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for an experienced Country Administration Coordinator, based in Myanmar with frequent travel in the region. 

As Country Administration Coordinator, you will lead and be responsible for the financial and administrative management of the Myanmar portfolio, ensuring and maintaining compliance with Malteser International and Donor procedures, standards as well as national rules and regulations.

Your responsibilities:

  • Contribute to planning and support Malteser International's programs in close coordination with the Country Coordinator and Program Manager, including support to risk management and mitigation measures
  • Ensure adherence to Malteser International and donor standards, regulations, and administrative procedures throughout the project lifecycle as well as for the overall MI Myanmar portfolio including partners
  • Manage financial processes at Country Office as well as provide guidance to financial process in program locations, monitor budgets, and support audits while coordinating closely with the Headquarter Program Operations Team
  • Oversee the logistics function and supply chain management, ensuring proper implementation of guidelines and procurement plans
  • Maintain national staff rules & regulations, enforce the code of conduct, and ensure compliance with local labour laws and contract management
  • Head the Country Operations Team, ensuring effective coordination, support, and communication with the country management team and project teams
  • Contribute to comprehensive regular reports that summarize operational support information across the country program

Your profile:

  • University degree relevant to MBA, logistics, humanitarian aid, development studies or any related field, with at least 8 years of experience, including 5 years of leadership in an international NGO
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of managing teams and fostering effective working relationships
  • Familiarity with legal and bureaucratic requirements in Myanmar is an asset, particularly in finance and human resources
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail in operational processes
  • Excellent communication abilities to facilitate coordination between various locations as well as between country based location and headquarters
  • Capacity to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing operational needs

What we offer:

  • Start Date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Myanmar; due to visa restrictions frequent travel outside the country is considered with potential to be based in the region e.g. Thailand in addition to Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: 2 years
  • Salary according to qualification and experience, insurance package
