The Consultant shall assume all powers, duties, and responsibilities assigned under the Civil Works contract.
The Consultant will be accountable for any low-quality works or substandard materials used by the Contractors if such works or materials have been accepted and approved by the Consultant. Based on the detailed design, the Consultant shall conduct any necessary design reviews and other studies required to commence construction.
The Resident Engineer shall have:
a) Minimum of M.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering specializing in relevant field and 18 years’ experience in carrying out road engineering design and supervision of road construction projects.
b) Eight years as a Project Manager or Resident Engineer in BRT / Railway / Urban Road Infrastructure projects
c) At least 3 project experiences in construction supervision of BRT / Railway / Urban Road Infrastructure projects
d) Five years of relevant experience in Sub Saharan African countries.
