Technical Assistance for Supporting Civil Society Through Social Entrepreneurship in Türkiye

The project aims to foster a more conducive and sustainable environment for civil society and non-state actors in Türkiye by promoting social entrepreneurship as a strategic means to enhance social innovation, inclusivity, and economic resilience. This EU-funded initiative will support the development of sustainable social enterprises, strengthen the capacity of civil society organisations, and improve the overall framework for social entrepreneurship in the country.

Key Responsibilities:
The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, and management of the project in accordance with the Terms of Reference (ToR) and EU procedures.
Key duties include:

  • Leading and supervising the project team and experts.

  • Managing day-to-day project operations and ensuring timely delivery of outputs.

  • Liaising with the DEUA’s Project Management Unit (PMU) and other stakeholders.

  • Ensuring quality control of project deliverables and compliance with project indicators and objectives.

  • Providing strategic direction and backstopping to the technical team.

  • Ensuring the project is implemented effectively, within scope, budget, and timelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree. In the absence of a degree, at least 12 years of equivalent professional experience.

  • Proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level, in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

General Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience.

  • At least two experiences (of at least 220 working days each) in a managerial position such as Team Leader, Project Director, or equivalent.

Specific Professional Experience:

  • At least three assignments in the field of entrepreneurship or projects targeting SMEs/entrepreneurs.

  • Experience in social economy, impact entrepreneurship, or social innovation will be considered an asset.
