Assignment type: Short-term missions over 22 months
Key Tasks
Develop project documents and mobilize additional resources for CLM-II implementation.
Design model ILM concepts tailored to the Lake Chamo catchment.
Screen, analyze and disseminate best practices and lessons learned.
Support the creation of partnership and networking systems with ILM practitioners.
Lead the development of innovative knowledge hubs and digital platforms.
Postgraduate degree in: System Modelling, Regional Planning, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, Organisational or Rural Development, Geography, or Spatial Planning.
English proficiency: C1 level.
10 years of relevant professional experience.
At least 5 years in Natural Resource Management or Organisational Development with systemic/resource-oriented approaches.
10 years of experience in international cooperation outside the country/region of assignment.
Previous work in East African countries with similar socio-economic contexts is highly desirable.

Develop context-specific ILM model concepts for the Lake Chamo catchment.
Promote the integration of indigenous knowledge and local practices into ILM strategies.
Draft scaling-up guidelines and support long-term visioning by the Chamo Catchment Leadership Platform (CCLP).
Ensure cutting-edge and locally grounded approaches for policy and practice transformation.
Postgraduate degree in: Natural Resources, Regional Planning, Capacity Development, Environmental Science, Geography, or Development Studies.
English proficiency: C1 level.
8 years of relevant professional experience in Ethiopia or similar contexts.
To support the day-to-day operations of the project, we are also seeking:
1 Finance and Administration Officer (22 months)
1 Cashier (22 months)
These roles are essential to ensure smooth logistical, financial, and administrative project operations at the local level. Previous experience in development cooperation projects is an asset.
