We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to manage the implementation of a strategic EU-funded public diplomacy project in Brunei Darussalam. The project aims to enhance bilateral EU–Brunei relations through a wide range of outreach activities, including high-level dialogues, cultural events, policy seminars, youth engagement, and media collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic, technical and operational leadership across all project components.
- Act as the primary liaison with the EU Delegation, local institutions and project partners.
- Oversee the delivery of all activities, ensuring high quality, compliance, and visibility.
- Manage a diverse team of experts (communications, logistics, public affairs, IT, etc.).
- Ensure timely reporting, effective planning, and adaptive risk management.
Required Profile
- Proven expertise (min. 8 years) in public diplomacy, international cooperation, or communications.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing multi-actor projects in Southeast Asia, preferably in Brunei.
- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills in intercultural environments.
- Full proficiency in English and strong command of Brunei Malay.
- Experience engaging with government, academia, civil society, and media actors in ASEAN is a strong asset.
