Project Overview:

This project aims to manage and develop a dedicated Suai Supply Base, through a Design-Build and Finance contract. The Supervision works of SSB design build contract will provide specialized project management advice and expertise in the development of onshore and offshore works.

We are currently seeking an experienced Jetties Engineer with a minimum of 15 years' post-graduate experience to join our team in the region. The Jetties Engineer will be responsible for design validation and construction supervision of jetties, quay walls and associated marine structures. This includes ensuring structural integrity, compliance with maritime codes, and integration with port operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to Team Lead.
  • Review contractor designs for jetty structures including piles, decks, fenders.
  • Supervise site works including piling, concrete works, steel fixings, and marine access.
  • Ensure compliance with structural codes and seismic/marine loading requirements.
  • Verify materials and workmanship meet international standards.
  • Coordinate with Breakwater and Port Operations teams.
  • Maintaining a culture of continuous improvement across all aspects of the working environment and projects.
  • Perform other such duties as may be reasonably required.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree in Civil or Marine Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in marine infrastructure projects.
  • Lead or sole Jetty Engineer on at least two large-scale port or supply base projects over USD 200 million.
  • Strong understanding of design codes such as Eurocode, ASCE, ACI.
  • Experience with port authority standards and operations coordination.
  • Knowledge of fendering systems, berthing aids and marine traffic layouts.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with excellent site supervision and reporting skills. 
  • Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and manage many tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent clear and concise communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
  • You will have an agile and “Can Do” mindset.
  • Ambitions self-starter with high self-standards.
