About the Role:

Islamic Relief Bangladesh (IRB), with technical support from the CALP Network, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Trainer to deliver the Core CVA Skills for Programme Staff course. This 5-day, face-to-face training aims to strengthen the capacity of 25 IRB staff involved in the design and implementation of cash and voucher assistance (CVA) interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver a high-quality Core CVA Skills for Programme Staff course.
  • Contextualize training materials based on participants' backgrounds and the IRB’s operating environment.
  • Coordinate with IRB and CALP teams for agenda finalization.
  • Lead the facilitation of the 5-day training session.
  • Guide and evaluate a co-facilitator through the training process.
  • Conduct end-of-training evaluations and provide a comprehensive training report.

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a CALP-Certified Trainer, certified to deliver the Core CVA Skills for Programme Staff course.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-quality training and learning events related to cash transfer programming.
  • Experience in guiding and evaluating co-facilitators through the training process.
  • Preferably, a lead trainer who has delivered the course at least 3 times with positive feedback each time.
  • Strong understanding of current good practices regarding CVA.
  • Substantial knowledge and experience in capacity building, adult learning methodologies, and tools.
  • Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to adapt instructional approaches to evolving discussions and questions.
  • Ability to communicate technical subject matter to individuals with varying levels of technical knowledge and from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in South Asia or Bangladesh.
  • Knowledge of the operational dynamics of humanitarian NGOs, state actors, UN agencies, and private sector actors.
