CEFE International is planning to apply for the project “Employment Promotion for Women in Waste Management and Circular Economy in Kenya”. We are seeking a Gender, PwD, and Behaviour Change Specialist to support gender equality, disability inclusion, and community behaviour change interventions in Kenya.
Lead the adaptation of the GmBS methodology with a focus on gender-sensitive training modules for MSEs (Micro and Small Enterprises).
Conduct training of local master trainers for GmBS methodology.
Lead the selection process ensuring the inclusion of women and persons with disabilities (PwD).
Provide quality support to GmBS trainers during MSE training, ensuring gender targets are met.
Monitor the participation of women in project activities to ensure that gender equality goals are achieved.
Education/Training: Master's degree in Gender Studies, Sociology, or Social Development.
Language: Proficiency in English at C1 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
General Professional Experience: At least 8 years of professional experience in gender equality and social inclusion within development cooperation projects.
Specific Professional Experience:
3 years of experience in designing or implementing gender-responsive capacity-building programs.
3 years of experience in the design and implementation of GmBS methodology.
4 years of experience in developing and implementing gender analysis frameworks and tools.
Management Experience: Not applicable.
International Professional Experience: 3 years of professional experience working outside of Kenya or East Africa.
Professional Experience in the Country/Region of Assignment: 3 years of experience working in Kenya and 2 years of experience in East Africa.
Experience in Development Cooperation: At least 5 years of experience in development cooperation projects .
