WEglobal is seeking to recruit a highly qualified and experienced Team Leader for an EU-funded project in Türkiye. The Team Leader will serve as the senior manager responsible for managing and coordinating all products and services requested by the Contracting Authority. S/he will oversee the project’s implementation, ensuring quality control, administrative and financial compliance, and proactive engagement with the Contracting Authority.
Lead and coordinate all project activities and experts, ensuring high-quality outputs in line with the Contracting Authority’s requirements.
Ensure project outputs are error-free, timely, and compliant with requests and deadlines.
Develop, monitor, and adjust communication strategies and activities in collaboration with strategic advisors and experts.
Monitor the contract budget and provide regular updates to the Contracting Authority, ensuring the financial sustainability of all activities.
Ensure swift response to all written and oral requests: general requests within half a working day and urgent requests within one hour.
Supervise and proactively improve existing tools and platforms (e.g., website, social media).
Maintain smooth administrative and financial management of the contract.
Propose and organise coordination meetings with the Contracting Authority and project team as needed.
Provide prior control and quality assurance of all items and services submitted to the Contracting Authority.
A bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, or a related field. Alternatively, any bachelor’s degree combined with minimum 10 years of experience in communication, journalism, or public relations. A higher university degree in journalism or marketing is an asset.
Proficiency in English at C1 (preferably C2) level according to the CEFR.
Proficiency in Turkish at C1 (preferably C2) level according to the CEFR is an asset.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in developing and implementing communication strategies and working in mass media in a senior position (additional experience is an asset).
At least 5 years of management experience (additional experience is an asset).
Excellent knowledge of Türkiye and its communication environment, demonstrated by minimum 5 years of related work experience relevant to Türkiye or in Türkiye.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.
Experience in communication work for the EU, international organisations, embassies, or public authorities is an asset.
15 years or more of experience in the above-mentioned areas will be considered an asset.
