Technical Assistance to Uganda Railways Corporation Management.
• General description of the position: Team Leader of a team of 4 experts (TL, Railway infra/operations, Rolling Stock, Railway Commercial and Organisational Development)
to develop business strategies and implementation plans for operations, rolling stock, infrastructure development and maintenance, capacity building and organisation building and reform.
• Expert category: Cat. I (>12 years of experience)
• Qualifications and skills required: University degree MSc in railway management or railway operations, or equivalent/comparable.
• General professional experience: At least 12 years of relevant, verifiable and diversified professional experience in working and or advising the executive railway top
management structures, on the level of Chief Executive Officer and the executive management team directly resorting under the CEO of a railway company; Demonstrated
experience in operations, railway infrastructure, railway safety and organisational capacity building an d re-organisation processes of railway companies.
• Specific professional experience: At least 2 international experiences working with or within railway companies and/or railway infrastructure management companies,
on the level of executive top management level; At least 1 experience working with governmental or government-owned/parastatal railway companies; Working experience
in commercialised or privatised railway companies is advantageous; At least 2 experiences in design, follow-up and/or implementation of needs assessments and
capacity building programs in railway companies.
• Language skills: Fluency in speaking and writing in English.
• Number of working days: 495 days over period of two years
• Additional information: Assignment is fully at Place of Performance, Kampala, Uganda.
