Project Description
Funded by the European Union and managed by the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI), the Cultural Relations Platform – Phase II supports EU foreign policy objectives by fostering strategic, systematic, and long-term cultural relations with partner countries. The Platform provides policy advice, technical expertise, and organisational support for cultural cooperation, people-to-people exchanges, and participation in major international events. Activities span research, training, networking, and visibility actions, all underpinned by an inclusive, bottom-up, and co-creation approach.
Expert Profiles – Non-Key Experts
We are seeking Senior and Junior Thematic Experts across a broad range of specialisations to support short-term assignments over the life of the project.
Indicative thematic areas include:
- Culture and the arts
- Cultural and creative industries (CCIs)
- Tangible and intangible cultural heritage
- Anthropology / sociology
- Public diplomacy and international cultural relations
- EU policies linked to culture (e.g. climate change, human rights and peacebuilding, education, research & innovation)
- Public relations, communication, and media (including social media)
- Community management and audience engagement
- Event management (including international fairs, festivals, and conferences)
- Cultural leadership training and capacity building
- MEL
Minimum requirements:
For Senior NKEs:
- At least 5 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in one or more of the thematic areas above.
- Proven experience in international and/or intercultural contexts.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English (knowledge of other EU languages is an asset).
For Junior NKEs:
- At least 3 years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in one or more of the thematic areas above.
