B.Sc. in civil engineering.

Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience or master's degree with 1 year of relevant professional experience in civil engineering / construction infrastructure, including experience managing construction contracts & supervising community infrastructure projects (as well as supervision of rehabilitation).

Record of participation in at least 5 assignments / projects of similar nature & degree of complexity (e.g., as Supervising Engineer, Site Engineer, Resident Engineer, Construction Engineering Consultant, Construction Contract Manager).

The relevant construction projects would include the construction / or complex infrastructure development projects that combine works.

Experience using computers & office software packages (Microsoft Office Word, Excel etc.), engineering programs (Auto CAD, Civil 3D), Arc GIS & advanced knowledge of web based management systems.

Knowledge of international standards for construction projects & contracts management (ISO standards, British standards, FIDIC contracts etc.) & experience from international donors funded construction projects.

A proven track of excellent communication skills both oral & written.

Proven ability to work with multi disciplinary teams & liaison with local authorities.

Knowledge of our clients program management & financial procedures & policies.

Knowledge & working experience with our client, the United Nations (UN) system & INGOs particularly with governance & recovery program.

Fluency in both written & spoken English & Arabic is required.
