Key expert 2: Team Leader and Disaster and Emergency Management Sector Expert

Qualifications and skills;

-        Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences or another discipline directly related to this assignment. Master’s/Phd degree in these fields will be an asset. In the absence of a formal degree, minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in the field of disaster and emergency management.

-        Good command of written and spoken English

Professional experience;

-        Preferably 15 but a minimum of 10 years of professional working experience in the field of disaster and emergency management sector.

-        Excellent negotiation and coordination skills as well as capacity to interact with diverse stakeholders, especially public institutions. (to be assessed through the CV)

-        Experience in project management including the familiarity with international frameworks and standards such as the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the EU Civil Protection Mechanism (in particular the EU Resilience Goals).
