Main environmental expert

Tasks:

• Head of Mission SESA for the mining sector in the DRC
• Overall responsibility for the packages of consulting services provided by the contractor
• Management of all other experts / team members, including identification of short-term assignment needs within the available budget, planning and steering of interventions, and supervision of experts with national, regional and international experience
• Ensuring the coherence and complementarity of the contractor's services with other project services at local and national level
• Responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of capacity building actions of local partners in the following sectors: Strategic environmental and social assessment of the mining sector at the national level
• Responsibility for addressing cross-cutting issues (e.g. gender equality)
• Ensuring that monitoring procedures are carried out
• Regular and timely reporting to project's Client;
• Responsibility for monitoring the use of funds and financial planning in consultation with
  the Client's Financial Manager;
