Description

Project objectives: Aimags and Soums Green Regional Development Investment Program (ASDIP)

 Promotion of green territorial development and urban-rural linkages, whereby human settlements - aimag and soum centres become anchors of green agribusiness that promote sustainable, resilient, and high -carbon sequestration rangeland management.

The project involves: 

1.    Development of a Market-Driven, Integrated, Cost-Efficient, and Climate-Resilient Livestock Supply Chain Organization

2.    Competitive, Low-Carbon, and Export-Oriented Value-Added Production, Agribusiness, and SME Development

3.    Sustainable and Climate-Resilient Rangeland and Animal Welfare Management.

4.    Strengthening Animal Health and Breeding Services for Enhanced Productivity

5.    Improving Irrigation Systems and Infrastructure to Enhance Livestock Forage Production.

 

The project is envisaged to start in April 2026 with expected duration ca. 4 years. The project is funded through a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB)

Qualifications:

  • M.Sc./Phd in agricultural economics, rangeland management, agronomy or a related field
  • Min. 10 years’ experience with at least 5 of project management preferably in agriculture, rangeland management or a related field
  • Experience with ADB or other international donor projects
  • Familiarity with the operational and reporting requirements of international donor funded projects
  • Excellent English communication skills, including presentations and report writing

Tasks:

  1. Responsibility for all tasks under the project
  2. Management and scheduling of national staff and sub-consultant resources
  3. Coordination with PMO, PIUs and GIRAF.
  4. Coordinate and participate in the supervision of all tasks under these consulting services.
  5. Report to PMO on achievements, challenges, recommendations, and opportunities
  6. Support the Team Leader in developing and implementing the livestock value chain analysis and development strategy 
  7. Provide technical assistance to producers and processors on improving production and processing practices
  8. Facilitate market linkages and promote value-added processing
