Jordan-based evaluator with experience in food security and social protection
North South Consultants Exchange (NSCE) is looking for an evaluator with Jordanian nationality or residency for the evaluation of a food security program as part of a multidisciplinary and international team. Candidates should have a minimum of 6 years of evaluation experience in the development and humanitarian sectors and experience with data collection.
Requirements:
· Based in Jordan
· A relevant master’s degree
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Proven experience in conducting data collection, including interviews and focus group discussions for evaluation or research studies
· Experience in conducting evaluations
· Knowledge of evaluation design, approaches and methodology
· In-depth knowledge of the political, economic and social context in Jordan
· Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
o Humanitarian assistance, including humanitarian principles, and protection, assistance for refugees and displaced people
o Nutrition (treatment and prevention of moderate acute malnutrition and nutrition-sensitive programming)
o Climate change, food systems and resilience
o School feeding (including home-grown school feeding and links to rural economies)
o Cash-based transfer
· Experience with UN agencies is a plus
· Fluency in Arabic and English.
