EUROPEAN PROFILES S.A. (GR) is looking for experts for the implementation of the following Framework Contract: "Technical assistance for the Team Europe Initiative on Gender (2026-2028)"

Global objective

The overall objective is to enhance the effectiveness of the Team Europe Initiative approach in Zimbabwe

 

Specific objective(s)

To provide technical and administrative assistance to the EUD to efficiently and effectively manage the implementation of the TEI on gender. This will include: coordination, sector analysis, mapping, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

 

Expertise

For this assignment, one individual expert must be proposed for each position.

The expertise required for the implementation of the specific contract is detailed below.

 

Key Expert:

General description of the position: Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment Specialist

Expert category, Place of Performance - Cat. II (>6 years of experience)

 

Qualifications and skills required:

• Masters degree or equivalent in Gender studies, Development studies, social development, law or another relevant field
• In the absence of a Master's degree, at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of the degree.
• Proficiency in standard IT and office software (e.g. MS Office or equivalent).
• Excellent writing, analytical, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and moderation skills.

General professional experience:

• At least 6 years of professional experience in development policies/cooperation focusing on gender equality and women's empowerment projects

Specific professional experience:

• At least three assignments in GEWE project implementation (in at least two of the TEI priority areas), partner coordination, monitoring, research, reporting, preparation of policy briefs in Zimbabwe or similar contexts in developing countries.
• Demonstrated knowledge of project cycle management, including logical framework
• Knowledge of the Zimbabwean legislative framework in relation to gender equality and women's empowerment would be an asset.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of:
  • Logical framework/results framework approaches
  • Monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements
  • EU development policies and Gender equality policies and strategies
  • International, regional agreements and initiatives on gender (UN, CEDAW, Beijing, AU/SADC etc)
  • Working with government institutions, international and non-governmental organisations supporting gender and development
  • Zimbabwean legislative framework in relation to gender equality and women's empowerment Demonstrated experience in assignments involving provision of technical assistance related to coordination and management of EU and EU member-States funded projects with focus on working better together would be an asset

Language skills:

• Excellent written and spoken English
• Spoken Shona dialects [asset]
• Spoken Ndebele [asset]
