Commercial Business Process Expert in business process reengineering and optimization in electric power utilities

AAM Consulting is looking for experts with experience working in sub-Saharan Africa for the World Bank funded project: “Business Process Optimization for the Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC)” in Liberia.

 

The goal of this assignment is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the Liberia Electricity Corporation's (LEC) current business processes. The aim is to enhance business efficiency and effectiveness across all levels of the organization, thereby improving overall organizational performance.

 

The estimated project duration is 5 months with expected project start in 2026 Q2.

 

The project is now at the bidding phase and we are looking for experts interested in implementation and possessing all qualifications and skills required for the positions, as detailed below.

 

Requirements towards the expert regarding Key Qualifications & Experience

 Commercial Business Process Expert

Key Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in finance, business management or a related field is required.

·        A postgraduate degree in similar fields is preferred.

·        Certified Business Process Professional (CBPP) or similar certification is preferred.

Experience

·        Extensive knowledge of the operations and business processes of electric power utility is required.  

·        A minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in managing/ implementing commercial processes in electric distribution utilities supported by CMS platforms business process engineering and optimization in the power utility industry is required. 

·        Experience of supporting deployment of standard CIS/CMS solutions (either as a domain expert of the contractor team or as a key staff of the distribution utility) is required.  

·        Extensive knowledge of the commercial processes of power utility operations and associated management information systems for commercial management, energy management, customer relationship management, risk management, regulatory compliance, and performance tracking and reporting are required.

·        Knowledge of technology and tools including advanced metering infrastructure systems and decision support systems is required.

·        Must provide at least two (2) verifiable references in the last seven (7) years of working on projects involving business process reengineering and optimization in the electric power utilities

·        Experience working in sub-Saharan Africa is desirable.
