"Promoting Trade and Investment in Angola": Team Leader

1- General Professional Experience:

a. Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in international development project management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.

b. Proven experience in the financial and operational management of contracts valued at over 2 million euros and lasting more than 2 years.

c. Previous experience in technical assistance projects.

d. Previous experience in EU-funded projects would be an asset.

2- Context Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the Angolan economic and political environment, as well as regional and international trade and investment dynamics.

3- Management Skills: Strong strategic planning, resource management, problem-solving, communication and negotiation skills.

4- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Management, International Trade, International Relations, Marketing or related fields. Master´s in the same areas would be an asset.

5- Languages: Fluent in Portuguese (minimum C1) and English (minimum C1), oral and written.

6- Specific professional experience:

a) Experience in development project management in the areas of trade, investment (including investment facilitation and business climate reforms), private sector development or economic development would be an asset.

b) Experience in high-level interaction and in facilitating dialogue and coordination with relevant ministries and public services in developing countries, preferably in Angola, will be a great advantage.
