Design and Implementation of Two Rounds of the Advanced Track of the Youth Challenge on Climate Change

Key Expert
The Institutional Capacity Building Expert will support the strengthening of partner institutions involved in the delivery of the Youth Challenge advanced track. The role focuses on enhancing institutional systems, capacities, and tools to sustainably deliver youth innovation, entrepreneurship, and climate-focused programmes, and to support the institutionalisation and replication of the Youth Challenge model at national level.
Assess and strengthen institutional capacities of implementing partners delivering youth innovation and entrepreneurship programmes.
Review and update Youth Challenge training manuals and ToT materials aligned with advanced innovation, entrepreneurship, and climate action objectives.
Design and deliver Training of Trainers (ToT) programmes affiliated with implementing partners.
Strengthen institutional capacity of partner organisations to independently deliver youth innovation and entrepreneurship programmes.
Ensure training materials are scalable, context-relevant, and applicable across both implementation rounds
Review and update institutional manuals, training frameworks, and capacity-building tools aligned with climate action and innovation objectives.
Support the design and implementation of institutional capacity-building activities, including structured learning and knowledge transfer processes.
Contribute to the development of a replicable national model and implementation guidance for youth-led climate innovation challenges.
Work closely with the Project Manager, technical experts, and partners to ensure institutional learning and sustainability.
Document institutional capacity-building outcomes, lessons learned, and recommendations for scale-up and integration.
At least 4 years of experience in institutional capacity building, organisational development, or systems strengthening.
Proven experience working with NGOs, training institutions, or public/private sector partners including capacity building.
Experience supporting youth-focused, entrepreneurship, innovation, or climate-related programmes is an asset.
Strong analytical, facilitation, and reporting skills.
Proven experience in adult learning and curriculum development.
Experience working with youth-serving institutions, NGOs, or public/private sector partners.
Fluency in Arabic and English is required.
