Environmental Safeguard Specialist

The opportunity aims to improve State Highways/ Major district road and Rural Roads, enhance climate and disaster resilience of roads, and strengthen institutional capacities of Maharashtra Public Works Department (MPWD) and Maharashtra Rural Road Development Association (MRRDA).

Criteria:

1. Master’s degree or equivalent in environmental engineering, or related field.
2. Total professional experience: 7 years
3. 5 years of experience in environmental impact studies and implementing or monitoring environmental management plans of developmental programs preferably in transport sector.
4. Familiarity with ADB policy on environmental safeguards and on program compliance monitoring and reporting is preferred.
5. Experience in programs financed by multilateral development banks such as ADB or other donor agencies.
