Location:

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, with business travel on a need basis (overseas

travel should be expected for 30% of time)

In this role, you will support day-to-day operations, finance, and administrative activities across

MAGENTA’s Corporate Services department. You’ll play a key part in enabling smooth internal

operations and supporting teams across regions to deliver high-quality, impactful programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Finance and Operations Intern will report to Finance and Operations Associate. Typical tasks

include:

Assisting with day-to-day finance, operations, and administrative tasks within the Corporate

Services department

Supporting people and culture activities, including recruitment coordination, onboarding,

offboarding, and updating staff records

Assisting with procurement-related tasks, including collecting quotes, preparing basic

documentation, and updating vendor and contract trackers

Supporting travel and logistics arrangements, including bookings, visas, and preparation of

travel information forms

Helping maintain accurate records of company assets, vendors, contracts, and internal

trackers

Providing administrative support to proposal development processes, including gathering

required documents and forms.

Providing ad-hoc administrative and operational support.

REQUIREMENTS

Recently graduated from a top tier university;

Keen interest in operations or finance;

Ability to work effectively, respectfully and successfully with governments, clients, partners

and other stakeholders in complex settings;

Must be able to work in at least two of MAGENTA’s working languages: English PLUS either

Arabic, French or Spanish required;

Technological and software fluency, include Office 365.
