Open vacancies: Key senior expert for German-Chinese Agricultural Cooperation – Project
ADT Project Consulting GmbH is an innovative and reliable German consulting firm that focuses on technical assistance and international projects in the areas of livestock, agriculture, veterinary & food safety, agribusiness and rural development. Since 1995 we have been working for governments, development agencies, public institutions as well as for enterprises and organisations in the agriculture and food industry in more than 60 countries (see www.adtproject.de). Main clients are the German Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Regional Identity (BMLEH), EU EuropeAid and other EU programmes, GIZ, FAO, USAID, WB and other public donors as well as private organisations/companies.
We are currently looking for key senior expert for German-Chinese Agricultural Cooperation – Project. Starting date: 01.04.2026
Qualifications:
· Advanced degree (Master’s or equivalent) in agronomy, agricultural economics, international business, or a related field.
· Minimum of 10 years of substantial experience managing large, complex projects, ideally in an international context.
· Comprehensive understanding of both German and Chinese agricultural sectors, including key market actors and regulatory environments.
· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Tasks:
· Develop and implement forward‑looking strategies to foster cross‑border agribusiness cooperation.
· Advise German stakeholders on navigating the Chinese market, including regulatory and institutional frameworks.
· Represent the project in high‑level dialogues with public and private sector leaders in both countries.
· Ensure alignment with international best practices in trade, compliance, and intercultural cooperation.
Nice to Have:
· Proven expertise in market analysis, value chain development, and business development in the agribusiness sector.
· Strong track record in strategic negotiation and building high‑level partnerships.
· Professional proficiency in German and/or Mandarin is a significant advantage.
· Ability to lead diverse teams and work effectively in multicultural settings.
We welcome applications from candidates with either a strong strategic/diplomatic orientation or a hands-on, implementation-driven approach. Expertise in both German and Chinese agricultural contexts, as well as language skills in German and/or Mandarin, will be highly valued
