Southeast Asia Sustainable Tourism Facility Project Preparation Support for Tourism Infrastructure for Inclusive and Resilient Growth Project
· Guided by ADB’s Safeguards Policy Statement (2009) and relevant staff instructions, operations manual, and guidance notes, the expert will undertake social safeguards screening, categorization and due diligence
· Review ADB’s Safeguards Policy Statement (2009), The Handbook on Poverty and Social Analysis; Handbook on Resettlement: A Guide to Good Practice; Handbook on Strengthening Participation for Development Results: A Staff Guide to Consultation and Participation; and other relevant references
· Undertake other safeguards-related tasks as required by ADB and PIU.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
· Master’s degree in social sciences or relevant disciplines.
· Minimum of 10 years’ experience in resettlement works, including preparation of Resettlement Plans (RP), Indigenous Peoples Plans (IPP), and social assessments.
· Working experience in urban infrastructure projects financed by ADB or other multilateral development agencies in Cambodia.
· Proven capacity for problem analysis and solving, conducting fieldwork, and providing guidance and advice to government staff, national consultants, and contractors during project planning and implementation.
· Fluency in English is essential
· Prior experience working in Cambodia will be an advantage.
