Description

WEglobal has been short-listed for the EU-funded project “Technical Assistance for Organised Cooperation for Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety in SMEs.” The overall objective of the project is to strengthen decent work in Türkiye by promoting occupational health and safety (OHS), with a particular focus on improving the quality and efficiency of OHS services in SMEs and enhancing coordination among organised industrial zones, public institutions, social partners, and vocational education actors.

The project is expected to start in November 2026 and will be implemented over a period of 36 months. The contract will be primarily implemented in Ankara, with field activities across several provinces in Türkiye.

Role and Responsibilities

The Team Leader will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the project. In close collaboration with the project team, the Team Leader will contribute to the effective implementation of all project components and oversee the planning and programming of activities. With the support of Non-Key Experts, as appropriate, the Team Leader will ensure overall quality assurance, coordination of stakeholders, timely delivery of outputs, and preparation of project reporting in line with EU requirements.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the fields of Engineering or Occupational Health and Safety.

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, demonstrated through professional experience or a valid language exam score.

  • Full computer literacy.

  • A post-graduate degree (Master’s and/or PhD) in the fields of Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, or Project Management will be considered an asset.

General Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Team Leader or in managing a team within EU-funded projects.

Specific Professional Experience

  • Preferably 5, but a minimum of 3 years of experience in projects related to Occupational Health and Safety.

  • Proven experience in partnership building and negotiation with governments, employers’ organisations, and workers’ organisations will be considered an asset.
