Project Overview

The SWITCH to Circular Economy Value Chains (SWITCH2CE) programme aims to support SME (micro, small and medium-sized enterprise) suppliers in developing countries, integrated into the value chains of major European manufacturers and buyers, in order to jointly identify, adopt and master circular economy practices.

The transition to a circular economy is essential for generating economic, environmental and social benefits, thereby contributing significantly to poverty reduction. SWITCH supports and facilitates the implementation of effective and replicable pilot projects, involving all relevant stakeholders within targeted value chains, and enabling companies to achieve their circularity objectives.  In this context, the European Investment Bank (EIB), with the support of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (FS), aims to strengthen the integration of the circular economy into banking financing practices.
