The overall objective of this action is to facilitate the implementation of EU-funded programmes in Pakistan through necessary support operations, helping to position the EU as a partner of reference among selected target audiences.
The Team Leader will be responsible for planning and supervising the implementation of project activities maintaining close cooperation and prompt communication with the EU Delegation to Pakistan and the Project Manager assigned to the contract.
Qualifications and skills
• At least a Master’s degree in a discipline relevant to international cooperation, such as political science, economics or social science. In absence of a Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least four years of relevant professional experience in a field closely related to the assignment;
• Proficiency in English language oral and written (C2 level).
General professional experience
• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience working in development cooperation;
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in development project management, including identification and formulation, planning and budgeting;
• A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in low or lower-middle-income countries.
Specific professional experience
• At least 3 assignments as Project Manager (grant contract) or Team Leader (service contract) related to EU-funded development cooperation projects;
• Professional experience in mobilising and/or coordinating short-term Technical Assistance (TA), as demonstrated in at least 3 assignments in developing countries, Asia being an advantage;
• Professional experience in Pakistan of at least 1 year will be considered an asset.
